so,which do you prefer?
this is color-wise,ive already decided on a Strat!

Hello there,

Both look all right to me. If you have a strong preference in the color, you should probably go with that.

The purple one looks unusual. From what I can see it is a hard tail model, usually found in the Bullet series. (hard tail means no tremolo bridge/ whammy). It also looks like a fat Strat arrangement because it has 2 Single Coil pickups and a humbucker in the bridge. The Starcaster series had a fat Strat, but I do not recall the Bullet series having one. Has this guitar been modified by someone. If so, it will only sound as good as the skill level of the guy doing the mods. That is a question I would have about it. I would want to hear it and play it before I bought the purple one. If this one is a Bullet series Strat, those are the cheapest line (other than Starcaster) that Fender put out. You would expect to pay less for a Bullet than a Squier Standard Stratocaster.

The blue more is more classic looking. I like it better. I really like Lake Placid blue; it is an nice medium light blue metallic. Also, I like the looks of a maple fretboard on a classic looking Strat. I really don’t notice any difference when I play. I just like the looks of the maple fretboard. This guitar has the traditional 3 single coil pickups. That will give you a more traditional Strat sound. Also, I prefer the smaller headstock (50′s & 60s style) like this one has. I like this one better, but that is more personal preference to the visual things.

One other note, the humbucker pickup gives a little more mellow fuller sound. Having a pickup arrangement of 2 single coils and a humbucker does give you a little more versatile sound.
