Blues Guitar Blueprint Review
If you're interested in learning to play the blues but I have not had time to learning exactly how and why the blues is what it is, you can consider the review of this course. It is taught by a guy named Nate Savage has over 16 years experience playing guitar, and is produced by Rail Road Media Inc.
(They are a publisher of education rather well-known music for titles such as System Drumming, Drummer magazine, and the system Beginning Guitar)
The course is suitable for the beginner the intermediate player who may feel they are stuck in a bit of a rut, but need a new way of learning things outside the memory of the same boring pentatonic scales forms. Being able to create your own licks as well as being able to navigate at your leisure with confidence around the neck are two very important Blueprint Blues Guitar will help you achieve.
As noted in my System Review Guitar beginning after purchasing the course, you can get access to the private forum, but it is still a fairly work in progress because it is rather small, at least at the time of writing, but it will most likely improve over time.
Course Blueprint Blues comes with a comprehensive manual, two DVD lesson, and 4 Jam along CD.
The driving force of this course are the DVD and the lesson Jam along the tracks. By nature, the music is blues-based feel almost as much as technique, it seems, so maintaining a routine of practice is something that will be committed to the beginning.
The Lesson 2 DVD dive into the realm of blues licks. Here you will learn 41 special blues licks. The cool part about this but, is that shoppers are designed to help you understand exactly how blues licks are made, and you learn to bring your own Blues Licks on-site.
After you down securely, you can put your new found knowledge to the test by playing with four blue play along the tracks that come with the Blueprint Blues Guitar. They play along the tracks in my opinion one of the best parts of the package. The four Minor tracks include Blues, Chicago Blues, 6 / 8 Quick Change Blues, Blues and Jazzy, all of which are as big as you develop your own style.
The 4 CDs each contain one of the games along the tracks. Each song play along with three versions, a full band version, another version without the guitars, and finally the latest version which is similar to the second, but has added a metronome for further advice.
Another feature that is included are the tracks in a loop for each song in seven different keys. It's a pretty cool feature that helps you to play more than a few keys.
The Blueprint Blues Guitar book contains detailed explanations of all the examples found throughout the course. Each lick and ladders are fully noted.
A couple of reasons for this course are really not that Nate just throw a ton of ropes and ladders your way and then tell you to "play like a blues guitarist," as some other courses have a bad habit of doing.
It shows you scales, but keeps things simple by using only two positions, then moves to break everything apart and dissect everything completely so you can really understand what the blues is really all.
Basically, you will learn how blues scales really work, and you get to know every note in the balance, and why certain notes sound good and why others have not. These are important lessons to become a guitarist who really knows what they do, as opposed to someone who may be able to replicate, but not its origin. At the end of the course, you should be on track to create licks smart on the field, and really improvise on your instrument.
Another bonus is that you will learn some music theory as well. An example would be how scales and chords are constructed, four popular blues progressions, as well as some other scales that can be used when playing blues.
I highly recommend the Blueprint Blues Guitar, especially if you have learned a few scales and are frustrated or tired with that sound like you play only "scales" and not real blues. To truly play the blues, you must understand how the work of blues, and this course teaches you all this.

30 $4.53 With the simultaneous release of 30 and Songs I Heard, Harry Connick Jr. has again found new ways to express himself artistically while demonstrating the craftsmanship and work ethic of a virtuoso musician at the top of his game. 30 is the fourth in a succession of recordings that capture Connick’s music at its most personal and improvisatory, joining the albums 11, 20 and 25, each named for his age at the time of recording. As Connick explains, There’s a conceptual theme that runs through these recordings. It captures a moment in time, it’s like a snapshot of where I’m coming from musically. Beginning with the carefree jump blues of Walkin’, the stripped down recording is an exercise in dynamics, as Connick shows off expert piano and vocal skills with subtle flair. Connick is joined by the late gospel singer Rev. James Moore on There’s Always One More Time, and trumpet master Wynton Marsalis on I’ll Only Miss Her (When I Think of Her). From New Orleans to the narrative and playful Don’t Fence Me In, each of the fourteen tracks is a window into Connick’s artistry. |

Yes, and this book will show you how, giving you a huge vocabulary of creative triplet grooves and fills to play in every style.
